Del DeMao
Chief Deal Maker

Whether navigating the complexities of commercial real estate or giving advice on the green, Del’s level of commitment to his clients can be described in one way: “all-in”. A dominant force in the commercial real estate market for over two decades, Del formed DeMao Retail in 2013 on the premise that when good people work together, good things happen. With that mindset, he works to understand the unique driving forces for each client. Keenly aware of the nuances that shape the commercial real estate experience, he discovers the best locations and terms for their future
Del DeMao has a reputation as an advocate, partner, and confidant. “I’d call Del the Cadillac of real estate brokers.” He has a hands-on understanding of the commercial real estate market. Passionate about real estate, Del is an active investor in secure real estate markets and shares his knowledge and expertise to assist others with their aspiring goals.
Over the past two decades, Del has been involved in selling and marketing over $500 M in real estate across the country. In his experience, he has executed 500+ Tenant Representation deals in 23 states for various retail and restaurant brands. He has extensive experience in sales with multiple Big Box dispositions, including sales, leases, subleases, third party terminations, and assignments. This work included listing over 5,000,000 square feet and 80 Acres of High Profile Outlots in front of Supercenters and other prominent locations.
Early in his career, Del worked at Cushman & Wakefield (formerly DTZ, Inc., Cassidy Turley, Inc. Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, Inc.) from 2002 through 2010. His awards included: President’s Club Honors for Sales in 2005 through 2008 with a Power Broker Awards and CoStar Honors in 2006, 2007, and again in 2009. Del is the Founding Program Chairman for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Indiana Next Generation Program.
He was named an Academic All American for golf in high school and grew up with a very popular PGA Master Professional as his mentor – his dad. Del was inducted into the University of Indianapolis Athletic Hall of fame in 2015.
In addition to his full-time career in real estate, Del enjoys spending time on the golf course, with both competitors and friends. He oversees The Ron DeMao Foundation Edgeway Junior Golf Tour whose mission for the last 34 years has been to provide an affordable opportunity for all junior golfers, regardless of socioeconomic status, to develop their golf game in an inviting and competitive atmosphere.
Jennifer Hallgarth

As President, Jennifer Hallgarth oversees operations and drives initiatives at DeMao Retail, a commercial brokerage specializing in tenant representation and development. With a background in real estate and consulting, Jennifer brings a unique blend of expertise to her role.
As a Licensed Real Estate Broker, Jennifer leads company operations, performs key business functions, and facilitates new initiatives. Her key responsibilities include:
Real Estate Site Selection Planning: Crafts comprehensive plans to drive client expansion goals. She conducts thorough site searches, designs strategic coverage plans, and delivers compelling presentations to stakeholders.
Leasing and Acquisition Management: Oversees leasing and acquisition details for new deals, ensuring seamless transactions.
Company Operations: Provides hands-on leadership, guiding operational and brokerage staff to maintain efficiency and excellence.
Before joining DeMao Retail, Jennifer spent over 20 years in environmental consulting, specializing in investigation, clean-up, and funding of contaminated properties across the Midwest. She is a Licensed Professional Geologist and holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. She served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Indiana University Bloomington’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and instructing E311 Intro to Human Health Risk Assessment. Jennifer also serves as a board member for the Professional Geologists of Indiana.
Krissy Strack
Vice President

Krissy Strack is a committed and results-driven broker recognized for her experience in the commercial real estate industry for both Landlord and Tenant Representation. She joined DeMao Retail in August 2024 as Vice President of Retail and Tenant Services. Her expertise includes both Landlord and Tenant Representation, real estate developments, managing real estate portfolios, negotiations in lease and build to suit opportunities, and market analysis to aid in planning and developing comprehensive real estate strategies. She is passionate about cultivating partnerships within her industry, sourcing and executing Tenant Representation services for local, regional and national retailers, and maintaining awareness of industry news and trends. She thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoys tackling new challenges that require creative problem-solving and strategic thinking.
Krissy began her real estate career in residential, finding quick success in selling over 40 homes in three years. She then served as an in-house broker for a national dental company and spent time as a Vice President with a commercial real estate brokerage representing both Landlords and Tenants. Her first career was teaching First grade. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Education from Ball State University. She is a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker, member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and member of the National Association of Realtors.
Mang Niang
Commercial Real Estate Marketing Assistant

Mang Niang joined DeMao Retail in 2023 as a Commercial Real Estate Marketing Assistant. Her role on the team will include marketing material for commercial properties as well as implementing campaigns to promote brokerage services. She will be responsible for designing company marketing materials and utilize her “Gen-Z skills” to create captivating and fun social media content.
Mang is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree in Marketing and Management with specialized in Professional Selling. Outside of school and our brokerage family, Mang focuses her time in honing her sales skills. Mang's collaborative spirit and unwavering passion assists our team in adapting to evolving landscapes and emerging trends. She’s also fostering effective teamwork and leveraging collective creativity to implement impactful marketing strategies.
