DeMao Retail is proud to bring Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse to Indianapolis, marking the company’s first location in the Midwest. The 8,700 square foot restaurant opened December 13, 2024, at Fashion Mall Commons, located at 8487 Union Chapel Road near Keystone at the Crossing.

Founded in 2015, Terra Gaucha delivers a traditional churrasco dining experience. Guests enjoy fire-roasted meats carved tableside by gauchos, along with an extensive hot and cold gourmet table featuring cured meats, cheeses, salads, and Brazilian dishes like pork belly feijoada and lobster bisque.

This is Terra Gaucha’s fourth location, joining restaurants in Jacksonville, FL, Tampa, FL, and Stamford, CT. Future openings are planned in Omaha, NE and Rockville, MD, with all stores corporately-owned.

The Indianapolis restaurant offers:

  • All-you-can-eat churrasco experience

  • Premium cuts like picanha (sirloin cap), beef ribs, ribeye, and filet mignon with bacon

  • Grilled pineapple with cinnamon, caramelized bananas, and traditional Brazilian desserts

  • Comfortable dining layout with Brazilian music and attentive service

We are thrilled to bring the unparalleled flavors of Terra Gaucha to such a vibrant dining scene like Indianapolis.
— Rodolfo Melo, General Manager, Terra Gaucha

Terra Gaucha enters a competitive churrascaria market in Central Indiana, alongside longtime operator Fogo de Chao downtown. Other concepts like Rodizio Grill and Tucanos have come and gone, but demand for Brazilian steakhouse experiences continues to grow.

DeMao Retail is excited to contribute to the momentum of this thriving corridor and introduce one of the nation’s most authentic churrasco restaurants to Indianapolis.
